style of tennis

In Prince of Tennis, every character has some insanely special move to outwit their opponent. Kirihara's special "attacks" (I don't know what else to call it; they're literally attacks) are effectively deadly, and with that, he can also copy moves from other players he's had matches with. I can't really go indepth with this until i've gathered notes on it (I promise I will soon ;___;), but I do remember the gist of some of his moves.

KNUCKLE SERVE • Just like the title says, he serves the ball with his knuckles. He grips the ball tightly to give it enough momentum to fly up [spinning at a rapid pace], and hits it at an alarmingly fast pace. The ball aims for the face of his opponent. It's kind of related to the Kick Serve (A move done by Echizen). This one is meant to injure his opponent, unfortunately.

PHANTOM BALL • Ah, Kirihara's disappearing act. This is one of his newer moves. Used to confuse his opponent; Kirihara has complete control of where the ball is going to land. An illusion, of sorts, appears to happen as soon as the ball hits the ground, and disappears behind the opponent. This is especially deadly to left-handed players. Kirihara can also feint the ball, confusing his enemy even further. Not effective against right handed players, though. This one doesn't actually hurt people. (anime only)

Coming soon: State of self-actualization/muga no kiyochi, devil mode, but obviously, Devil mode is that state in which his eyes become bloodshot red, and anger seems to consume him. I will elborate later.
